Donostia-San Sebastián
Maria Cristina Bridge
Just 20 km from the French border lies a gem of the Biscay coast: San Sebastián (locally known as “Donosti”), the city with the most Michelin-starred restaurants per square meter in the world. We’ll start with a beautiful view of the city from Monte Igueldo. After a brief panoramic tour of the city, we’ll walk through the Old Town (Parte Vieja), a series of narrow streets that maintain their medieval layout and are home to most of the city’s restaurants, bars, small shops, and historic monuments. We’ll also see beautiful 20th-century buildings that showcase the city’s romantic style, including the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and the Maria Cristina Hotel. In addition to its cuisine and culture, San Sebastián is also famous for its beautiful beaches. You will have time to enjoy them at your leisure or take a walk to the “Peine del Viento” sculpture by Eduardo Chillida.
