{"id":3829,"date":"2020-03-10T11:38:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T11:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romotur.com\/?p=828"},"modified":"2020-03-10T11:38:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T11:38:00","slug":"romotur-your-company-makes-our-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/romotur.com\/de\/romotur-your-company-makes-our-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Romotur: \u201cYour company makes our city!\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bilbao recognizes the work of 173 entrepreneurs with a special \u201cbaldosa\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong><em>La baldosa de Bilbao<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 the sidewalk tile you often see throughout the Basque Country, but especially in Bilbao \u2013 is arguably one of THE symbols of this city.&nbsp; And what better form for an award&nbsp;<strong>recognizing the hard work of entrepreneurs&nbsp;<\/strong>of the city \u2013 including the founder and owner of&nbsp;<strong>Romotur, Carmen Romo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">Carmen received this award from Bilbao\u2019s mayor, Juan Mari Aburto, on February 10, 2020, at a ceremony held in the Azkuna Center in recognition of her efforts as a local entrepreneur, creating jobs, promoting the destination, and contributing to a vibrant city and local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the recipients who were presented this&nbsp;<strong><em>baldosa<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;with the inscription \u201cYour company makes our city!\u201d in Spanish and Basque are owners of new businesses. However,&nbsp;<strong>a few, like Carmen, are long-standing entrepreneurs who have significantly contributed to the city\u2019s dynamism.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">Carmen started her<strong>&nbsp;destination management company Romotur 25 years<\/strong>&nbsp;ago. Based in Bilbao, it primarily promotes the Basque Country as a prime destination for leisure tourism and \u2013 more and more \u2013 business tourism for national and international companies: meetings, incentive trips, congresses and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">Romotur is also very active in La Rioja, a region that Carmen knows well. In fact, she is the representative of the Bilbao\/La Rioja region in the Great Wine Capitals Association.
